This is Where it all began
My time on Earth started in what is referred to as the year 1971 AD in the small village of Berkeley, Gloucestershire.

My Childhood days were spent not here, but in the suburb of Little Stoke, Bristol until the age of 19 when I broke free to live in the town of Yate,  A town 12 miles north of Bristol. Which coincidentally received the accolade of 46th crappest town in the UK in the Idler's crap towns guide 2003.

This is where I still live now with my long suffering wife Carol & our noisy Hairy Dog, Jock, the small one seen below in the Yate butt sniffing club.

I work for an international company called WSP Group PLC providing management and consultancy services to the property, land and construction industries.

I earn my crust as a Building Services Design Engineer (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) in their Bristol Office.

My specialties include CFD modelling, design of low energy buildings, installation of combined heat and power systems to name but a few.

As office jobs go, its about as good as you can get with lots of opportunities to meet different people and to travel as part of the day to day work rather than being desk bound.

I work with a good bunch of people which helps keep me sane when things get stressed.

Its obvious from this site that I'm a  petrol head, however that alone isn't enough to keep me occupied.

I enjoy travelling, and am fortunate enough to have been to many major european cities either through work or short holidays as well as travelling to the usual summer Hotspots such as Greece & Islands, Cyprus, Canaries etc.  More recently we've travelled to USA and Canada.  The west coast of Canada is a particular favourite and on the top of our 'places we'd like to live' list.

I'm a big motorsport fan and I love F1 - I know the racing isn't as exciting as it used to be but the atmosphere and glamour that surrounds the sport has to be witnessed.

I've been to 3 F1 races - twice at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and also to the Canadian GP in Montreal.

I'm planning on driving my Roadster to the Le Mans 24 hour race this year.

Other things that float my boat are, er, messing about in my speedboat, cycling, proper photography, film and video and I'm a total gadget freak.
